西子湖畔的外婆家，关乎当下，更指向未来

　　开幕的外婆家餐厅坐落于西子湖畔，其设计构思重在表达景观、建筑形态和室内的关系，空间气质则体现为与城市自然的连结，清丽、摩登的感觉，正如同杭州这座城市给人的印象，关乎当下，更指向未来。

　　The newly opened Grandma’s Home is located beside the West Lake,whose design concept emphasizes the presentation of the relations among scenery,architectural morphology and the interior.Its space temperament is represented by its connection with urban nature and its fresh and modern feeling which is just like the first impression that people have of Hangzhou,namely“It’s about the present but more about the future”.

　　“这个设计始于建筑层面的思考，原建筑是一个钢结构的玻璃体，立面和顶面都是玻璃，的考虑就是将户外的自然景观纳为设计的一部分，这就决定了内部需要尽可能简洁，加上建筑呈长条形，包括厨房、出菜口、冷餐区在内的功能区都集中到了中央的建筑体，到周围的用餐区很便利，是功能决定了形式。”

　　“This design comes from the consideration on architecture.The original building was a glass-enclosed one with steel structure whose facade and top surface were made of glass.The biggest consideration is to make outdoor scenery part of our design,which determines that the interior should be as simple as possible.As architecture is long and rectangular,its functional area where there are kitchen,dish out window,and buffet area gather at the center.In this case,it is convenient to go to the dining area.It is function that determines form.”

　　极简的顶面设计是蓄意的留白，顶面的功能隐蔽于建筑与室内的交界处。部分用餐区保留了一定的顶部采光，在原有的玻璃顶下做了金属网处理，自然光可以从这里透入，餐桌之间则以渐变白色作为隔断。

　　The minimal design of top surface is a deliberate blank.The function of top surface hides in the junction of the architecture and the interior.Part of the dining area maintains top lighting.There is a metal mesh under the original glass ceiling which allows natural light to filter into the interior.Gradient white is used to separate every two tables.

　　作为功能区的中央建筑体同样呈长条形，主要由水磨石、铜和镜面构成。材料和造型的一系列变化，让长达13米的主立面呈现出更为生动的节奏感。

　　The central architecture which is used as the functional area is long and rectangular as well.It is mainly made of terrazzo,copper,and mirror.A series of changes of materials and forms provide this 13-meter-long main facade with more vivid rhythm sensation.

　　镜面映照着户外的四季更替，方形大理石衔接着两种不同的材质，出菜口的圆拱造型别具一格，铜面内隐藏的灯带则丰富了灯光的层次。三个兼具屏风功能的独立备餐台，在用餐区内制造出一定的区域感，又保持着整体空间的通透性。一侧的靠窗区设有吧台，充分利用空间的同时，为单人用餐提供便利。

　　Mirrors reflect the changing sensations and square marbles link two different materials.Besides the unique form of the arched dish out window,the hidden light in the copper surface enrich levels of lighting.Three independent preparation tables with screens create a sense of place in the dining area but still maintain transparency of the whole space.There is a row of the bar by the window,which not only makes full use of space but also provides convenience for people who eat alone.
